We are excited to announce the development of Debt Valley, a feature film adaptation of the proof-of-concept short film released in 2021.
For those who haven't watched the short film, it introduces us to Leonard Mason, a criminal mastermind with a moral code who discovers that his accountant, Ezra Brooks, has stolen two million dollars from the business. Upon finding out, Leonard arranges to meet Ezra in the middle of nowhere for a confrontation that ends with a twist.
The feature film, written and directed by Daniel Couts (writer and director of the short film), and produced by Nika Finch (producer of the short film) delves into the world of these characters, and takes the audience through an entertaining series of twists and turns, answering many questions as to what led up to the desert confrontation, and what happens after. The film's logline is found below.
A criminal mastermind reluctantly teams up with the CIA to bring down a ruthless gambling mogul who forces his debtors to fight to the death in an underground arena.
Debt Valley will be shot in Malta, and pre-production is scheduled to commence early next year.
